Independent Study
Independent Study is available to all early childhood professionals looking to obtain state approved in-service hours for self-paced learning.

Process:
  • Individual reads a book, watches a video, or attends a webinar.
  • Individual begins the Independent Study form.
  • Individual submits the Independent Study form. Please allow up to 30 days for processing.
  • If approved, individual will receive a certificate of completion.
  • If denied, individual may make changes and resubmit the form. Please allow up to 30 days for processing.

Independent Study Notes:  
  • Individual can save information and return later to complete if accessing the form through their NECPRS account
  • The individual will not receive in-service hours/certificate of completion until the form has been submitted and approved.
  • For self-study packets or online classes you will be asked to attach a copy of your certificate to your Independent Study Documentation form.
